Ramadan Workshops
Workshop for kids to do arts and crafts for the Holy month of Ramadhan. A chance for children to share what they know about Ramadan and also learn more about this blessed month.

Youth Foodbank Collection
CICC’s Youth Circle are leading a collection for Colchester Foodbank. The colleection will run until the end of Ramadhan.

CICC’s Youth Circle are leading a collection for Colchester Foodbank. The colleection will run until the end of Ramadhan. They will visit the foodbank to help out during their visit in Ramadhan.

Bring a Dish Iftaar Party
A wonderful opportunity for families to come together, celebrate Ramadhan and share the fast breaking meal (Iftaar) as a community. A wide selection of delicious homemade food is always expected.
£5 per person
£15 per family

Interfaith Iftar
CICC will be organising an Interfaith Iftar during Ramadhan 2018 to engage with the wider community to build new relationships and share our common values.

Sponsored Mosque Iftaar
CICC collected funds to sponsor a meal for the local congregation at Colchester Mosque. During Ramadhan, the Mosque organises fast breaking meals every evening. This is a wonderful opportunity for congregation to come together, celebrate Ramadhan and share the fast breaking meal (Iftaar) as a community.

Sponsored ISoc Iftaar
CICC collected donations during Ramadhan to sponsor a meal at the University of Essex. The ISOC (Islamic Society) organises breaking fast meals (Iftars) everyday during Ramadhan for the Muslim students. CICC collaborated with them by sponsoring one of these meals, so no student would have to pay, nor would ISOC have to subsidize that meal.

Social Gatherings
CICC have held several social gatherings to provide opportunity for the diverse muslim population to socialise with each other. One of the dinners celebrated cultural/ethnic difference with everyone bringing a dish from their background heritage.
